Hot Pot Hands on Cooking Class

September 21, 2018

Divine Café at the Springs Preserve

6:30 to 9:30pm

Join Chef Steve Piamchuntar in an evening of exploring a tradition that dates back thousands of years, most likely to Mongolia. In our quest to learn and celebrate the community of food, we at Divine want to share this experience with you.

Hot Pot is known under many names in many regions: firepot, steamboat, jim jum (Thailand), shabu-shabu (Japan), lau (Vietnam) and is a style of entertaining that brings loved ones and friends together for a fabulous evening of celebration.

The broth is main stage in Hot Pot and can be anything from simple Chicken stock to spicy Thai-style coconut-rich tom ka broth.

Beautiful platters of food are prepared to be the ingredients to be cooked in the Hot Pot

We will prepare 4 types of broth, experiment with

Proteins – Beef, Pork, Chicken, Seafood, Tofu

Leafy Vegetables, sturdy vegetables, mushrooms

Noodles, wontons, dumplings

We will pair beverages to enhance the experience such as warm oolong tea, light lager beers and crisp white and rose wines

$89 per person, adults only, gratuity not included
